United 2-0 Rovers: Not-so-perfect 10

Sam Allardyce at Old Trafford.
Ten straight away defeats. Never mind.
Rovers’ performance at United was crap. United were crap and they still brushed us aside. Had we gone at them with more up front from the off, we may have had a chance, but we didn’t.
Sam’s reluctance to go two up front, despite being 1-0 down and not threatening the United goal at all, somewhat annoyed the fans, myself included, who cannot understand why we have to sit back all the time.
Surely, having gone behind, it makes sense to launch an attack in a bid to get a goal. But I’m not the tactician and I can’t question Sam Allardyce.
What I will say to the doom merchants is this.
Stop panicking! At the start of the season, everyone knew October was going to be a difficult month. We were unlikely to get any more than three points, from the home game against Burnley.
Arsenal, Chelsea and then Manchester United away were never games we expected to win, and they are now games we have got out of the way unlike the majority of the rest of the bottom sides.
We have four winnable games in November. Starting with Pompey on Saturday, a game that has gained real importance coming so soon after the difficult October month. Following that, trips to Bolton, Fulham and then the visit of Stoke are all games we can win, and should be playing to win.
The game at Bolton is massive. A defeat there would spell 11 away defeats in succession, which is unacceptable really.
Rovers fans must stay positive. The next month is crucial, and the fans must turn up on Saturday to roar the lads on.
